The people spoke, and Tiny Glow listened (said in grandiose politician voice)! Here’s my first attempt at a progress picture—it’s also posted on my Progress/Rewards page now:
When I first looked at the new (red sweater) picture, I didn’t really see any difference when I compared it to pictures taken of me close to my starting weight. I still have a long (almost 60 lbs) way to go, after all. But after comparing the two photos with my boyfriend, he pointed out that my neck is starting to emerge again, and my chin’s getting pointier. Metamorphosis. Slowly, it happens, right?

*blushing* Thank you so much for the awesome compliment, Kyra!

There are big and obvious changes to your face and neck. I am sure there are some changes to your body shape happening too. Well done and keep up the good work :)

I agree with seelieness, your face looks different – look at the upper part around your eyes. And the new haircut is quite nice! I’m looking forward to seeing a photo when you’re down another 20 pounds – won’t that be something!

Hey, Babbalou! Thanks—and yes, I’m already looking forward to losing another 20 lbs and adding to my progress pic lineup :).

I totally see a difference!!! That sweater looks HOT on you! Red is your color, girl!
Keep it up!

Yay! Thanks, Josie! I wear a lot of black or darker colors often, so it’s fun to have something new and bright in my wardrobe :).

This is fantastic. I am actually tearing up. You are looking so healthy and happy and clearly on a GREAT PATH. I am really glad for you, beautiful girl! Look at that shapely shape of yours!! (yes I vote for more red sweaters!)

Aw, Foodie, your comment means a lot to me :). I remember when I first started reading your blog back during the beginning of the year and how I enjoyed reading about your progress so much even though I wasn’t making much of my own. Now you’re a WW leader and I may actually be doing this thing finally—time sure flies!

I love success stories and yours is definitely up there. I haven’t had a chance to read all of your posts, but the “eat whatever you want” as long as it’s within the 1700 calorie limit, is a winner in my book. Umma try that, cause I can’t stand “rabbit” food. It’s just not satisfying. Keep up the good work and thanks for inspiring me to try another approach that’s proven successful.

Most importantly, you look much happier and glowier! But absolutely, you can start seeing changes in your face and neck – and I agree, love the red. That sweater looks great on ya. Can’t wait to see the next picture around, what 160 something? Isn’t that wild to think of?

it’s always so hard to see the changes when you look at yourself – for me, my first inclination is still to look at all of the negatives. i can CLEARLY see the difference in the two pictures. keep up the good work!!
